2017 China Electric Power Innovation Award Review Meeting and China Electric Power Innovation Award Project Exchange Meeting

On August 28, 2017, the 2017 China Electric Power Innovation Award Review Conference and China Electric Power Innovation Award Project Exchange Conference, hosted by the Science and Technology Development Service Center of the China Electric Power Enterprise Federation, was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The China Electric Power Innovation Award is an electric power science and technology award established by the China Electric Power Enterprise Federation, aimed at promoting innovation in electric power engineering technology and industry management. It rewards outstanding innovative achievements in the fields of electric power engineering technology and industry management, and has high credibility and credibility in the electric power industry and even the whole country, which has been recognized by the industry. During the award review process, relevant experts were organized to conduct new achievements and product evaluations (evaluations) on projects submitted by more than 2000 units in the power industry, including nuclear power, hydropower, wind power, and thermal power. A large number of major projects with independent intellectual property rights have emerged, filling domestic and international gaps, and their technical performance indicators have reached international, international, and domestic leading levels.

Dr. Zhang Mingyi, Deputy Chief Engineer of our company, Head of Tongji Jinhai Wind Power Structure Research and Development Center, and Structural Engineering of Tongji University, represented Jinhai Group in the review meeting of the China Power Innovation First Prize. At the meeting, he reported and introduced the application of replaceable prestressed anchor bolt foundation and reverse balance flange technology in wind farms. Dr. Zhang Mingyi introduced the research background and significance of our company's key research and development product, replaceable anchor bolts, and compared them with traditional anchor bolts to highlight the practicality of replaceable anchor bolts. At the same time, he analyzed the social and economic benefits, promotion, and application of replaceable anchor bolts and reverse balance flanges. The traditional prestressed anchor bolt technology, once the anchor bolt breaks, cannot be replaced. It requires knocking open the foundation concrete of the wind turbine tower and reinstalling the anchor bolt, which is a bottleneck in the use of prestressed anchor bolts due to the large amount of work, high cost, and difficult replacement. The replaceable anchor bolt can be quickly removed and replaced without changing the foundation form, affecting the operation of the fan, or damaging the foundation.

Taking the Guodian Kangbao Wufutang project as an example, according to the owner's calculation, by adopting two patented products from Jinhai Group: replaceable prestressed anchor bolt assembly and reverse balance flange technology, the comprehensive cost of the foundation has been reduced by about 15 million yuan. After being put into production, maintenance of tower bolt torque has been eliminated, and the production and operation cost of the entire life cycle has been saved by nearly 5 million yuan.

As of February 2017, the installed capacity of reverse balance flanges is about 7000 units, and the installed capacity of prestressed anchor bolt foundations is about 9000 units. As of June 2017, the installed capacity of replaceable anchor bolt assemblies has reached nearly 300 units, and as of now, more than 700 units have been contracted. Based on the achievements of onshore wind farms, the reverse balance flange is moving towards full speed towards offshore wind farms. It has been successfully applied in batches to the Jinfeng 3MW Xiangshui offshore wind power project, and the advantages of reducing the full life cycle operation and maintenance costs of the reverse balance flange are reflected in more and more offshore wind farm operations and maintenance.
