Since the beginning of this year, the Yandu Quality Supervision Bureau of Yancheng City has closely focused on the government's central work and actively served the application work of the National Energy and Wind Power Technology Equipment Evaluation Center, a "triple" project in the city. The bureau has strengthened communication and coordination with the district government, Yancheng Quality Supervision Bureau, and the Municipal Quality Inspection Institute, fully integrating and leveraging the resource advantages of the quality supervision system, and fully launching the application work of the National Energy and Wind Power Technology Equipment Evaluation Center.

In response to the frequent safety accidents caused by quality issues in wind power equipment in China in recent years, the National Energy Administration plans to establish the National Energy Wind Power Technology and Equipment Evaluation Center to provide certification and testing services for wind power equipment manufacturing enterprises, and conduct comprehensive evaluations or type tests. The applicant for this evaluation center must be a national level quality inspection center or a national energy research and development center. As an important part of the application for the National Energy and Wind Power Technology Equipment Evaluation Center, the National Wind Power Equipment Quality Inspection Center has a total investment of 256 million yuan, covering an area of 50 acres. It has built a constant temperature and humidity laboratory, a comprehensive research and development building, and other facilities, with the ability to conduct wind turbine model testing, wind turbine lightning protection, seismic performance testing, and other tests. At present, the main body of the entire building has been capped, and internal and external decoration and equipment procurement work is underway. It is expected to be put into use in August. The National Energy Offshore Wind Power Technology Equipment Research and Development Center, which has already settled in Yandu District, is the only national level research and development center in China that focuses on offshore wind power technology equipment. It is one of the first 16 national energy research and development (testing) centers established by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration in 2010.

Once approved by the National Energy Wind Power Technology Equipment Evaluation Center, it will provide strong technical support for the clustering of Yancheng's wind power industry, improving the quality level of wind power products in the city, and enhancing Yancheng's voice in the national wind power industry.
