First in China! 140 meter mixed tower+3MW level large capacity wind turbine successfully lifted

Recently, China's first 140 meter hybrid tower carrying a 3MW wind turbine was manufactured by Jinhai Group and completed hoisting at the Donggouhe Wind Power Project in Shan County, Shandong Province.

The Donghegou wind power project in Danxian County is invested and constructed by Beijing Jieyuan New Energy Investment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Mingyang. The planned installed capacity of the project is 50MW, and 15 MySE 3.2-145 wind turbines adopt the Jinhai mixed tower scheme. In this plan, the lower concrete section of the tower is 108 meters high, and the upper steel tower section is 32 meters high.

Why do we need a tall tower?

With the shift of focus in the wind power market, the low wind speed areas in the central and southeastern regions of China have enormous development potential. Compared with the "Three Norths" with high-quality wind resources, wind resources in plain areas of China generally have the characteristics of low wind speed and high shear.

According to industry calculations, when the wind shear is greater than 0.15, using a high tower has a significant economic advantage. A wind shear of 0.3 can increase by approximately 200 equivalent utilization hours for every 20m increase. The higher the tower, the better wind resources can be obtained, which is also commonly known as "borrowing wind from the sky" in the industry.

For a long time, the lack of feasible tower schemes has greatly limited the development and utilization of wind energy resources in the central and eastern plains. The Donggouhe wind power project in Shan County, Shandong Province has successfully adopted a 140 meter tower scheme. The average annual utilization hours of the project have increased by 208 hours compared to the 120 meter tower scheme, and the economic benefits have significantly improved.

In addition, modular interchangeable tower design technology is also adopted to simplify the design process and reduce template design and manufacturing time for cylinder sections by more than 60%.

The demand for large-scale units in the wind power market will continue to grow. In the "Three North" regions of China, the mainstream of large bases is already based on 3. X-4. XMW models, and the bidding for wind power projects in the central and southeastern regions is gradually focusing on ≥ 3MW.
